J Associates’ contribution brings new funding to over a dozen departments at the J

The J Associates honored the achievements of outgoing President Jennifer Deutsch and welcomed incoming President Amy Bennett at their Annual Luncheon on Wednesday, May 1. This esteemed women’s group operates within the St. Louis Jewish Community Center.

In her final address as president, Deutsch expressed gratitude for the dedication and collaborative efforts of the J Associates throughout the year. “I am so appreciative of the work all of you have done this year,” Deutsch said, emphasizing the significance of Bennett’s leadership in the upcoming term.

The event highlighted the J Associates’ philanthropic efforts, announcing $176,397 was raised to support various departments and initiatives at the J for 2024.

Significantly, almost $20,000 went to the Marilyn Fox Building Capital Campaign, for the development of an advanced Adult Day Center and enhancing community programs in Chesterfield.

The majority of the J Associates’ donations go towards expenses and equipment for J programming. This includes expanding transportation services for Adult Day at the J, providing scholarships for J Day Camps and Camp Sabra and acquiring fitness and recreation equipment.

“We are so appreciative of the J Associates and all they do for the J! They are incredible ambassadors, create community and camaraderie, and raise essential funds for participants of all ages,” said Julie Gibbs, director of development at the J.
