Aleeza Granote is among 10 local leaders to be honored as the 2026 Women of Achievement (Family Support) at the 71st Anniversary Luncheon at the Ritz-Carlton on May 19. Granote, who is a social worker, was selected for the award for her work in family support. She was a 2020 St. Louis Jewish Light Unsung Hero.
Granote founded Card Care Connection, a nonprofit organization that provides sympathetic messages and cards to people facing cancer. The organization has grown into a nationwide network of 400 volunteers who have created more than 90,000 cards.
Granote also volunteers with eight St. Louis organizations serving children with serious illnesses. Women of Achievement recognizes the volunteer efforts of St. Louis area women representing diverse cultures, roles, and accomplishments.
