Stanley Gollub

Stanley Gollub, 89, died peacefully at Missouri Baptist Medical Center on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017.

Stan is survived by his seven children, Steve (Pam) Gollub, Linda (Zvi) Berger, Norman (Leslie) Gollub, Michael (Cathy) Pretsky, Robert (Sharon) Pretsky, Lori Bates, and Lisa (Warren) Wiggins, as well as his sister, Myra Wapner. Stan is also survived by his 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Frances, and his second wife, Elaine.

Stan was born on Feb. 27, 1928 in St. Louis to parents Jack and Frieda. Stan pursued a career in civil engineering by enrolling in Washington University at the age of 16 and going to work for several prominent construction companies in the greater St. Louis area. Stan continued his passion for education by taking lifelong learning classes in Judaism, history, geography, and the arts during his retirement. Stan was incredibly devoted to his family as a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and enjoyed keeping in touch with family located in different parts of the world through emails, newsletters, phone calls and video calls.
