
The Sisterhood of Congregation B’nai Amoona was recently selected as a “Jewel in the Crown,” a national award bestowed by the Women’s League of Conservative Judaism. Recipients of this prestigious award must execute meaningful programs in the areas of education/Kehilah, Social Action/Israel/World Affairs and Women’s League of Conservative Judaism engagement, along with meeting certain other criteria. These requirements must be met consistently over a three-year period, indicating sustained commitment.
According to Lynda Lieberman, president of B’nai Amoona’s Sisterhood, “This was a team effort by our executive committee, general board members and Sisterhood members, with special thanks to our Program Chairs, Osnat Snir and Jennifer Knopf Bernstein; our Torah Fund Chairs, Marla Goldstein and Rhonda O’Brien; our “Minyan & a Meal” Chairs, Diane Friedman and Elise Krug; and, our Ways & Means Chairs, Lori Kabrun-Berry, Jennifer Fine and Rachel Persellin-Armoza.”
