PHILADELPHIA (JTA) — The Jewish Exponent won first place for use of the Web among non-daily publications in Pennsylvania.
The Society of Professional Journalists’ Keystone Chapter presented the honor to the Exponent, which also recently won an award as the best niche newspaper in a separate journalism contest sponsored by the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association.
The SBJ Keystone chapter, in its annual Spotlight Contest, singled out the Exponent’s website for its “fun, clean, easy-to-navigate design.”
“We are honored to be recognized as the No. 1 online operation among non-daily media in the entire state,” said executive editor Lisa Hostein. “This confirms that our efforts to reach a broader audience, through our digital platforms, are moving in the right direction. With our new mobile version of jewishexponent.com and our soon-to-be released app, we are rapidly becoming the ‘go-to’ site for Jewish Philadelphia.”
