What you need to know about this year’s Menorah Car Parade

What+you+need+to+know+about+this+years+Menorah+Car+Parade

Picture this: a convoy of decked-out cars, each adorned with brilliant menorahs illuminating the streets of Chesterfield, celebrating the joy and pride of Hanukkah. That is the plan for the 11th edition of Chabad of Chesterfield’s Menorah Car Parade.

This year’s parade is set for the fourth night of Hanukkah on Sunday, December 10th.

Menorah Car Parade: What you need to know

All participants are asked to register in advance. You can do so by following this link.

Parade attendees are asked to meet at Chesterfield Mall (loading dock C near the Cheesecake Factory) at 4:30 pm. The parade will commence at 5:00 followed by the Menorah lighting celebration and 75 foot chocolate gelt drop.

Unlike other parades, this one is meant to be interactive. Each participating car will receive an electric menorah that attaches to their roof, as well as a swag bag with other decorations and a curated Jewish music program for an enhanced driving experience.

“But the Menorah Car Parade is not just about the visual spectacle,” said Chanala Rubenfeld, co-director of Chabad of Chesterfield. “It’s a celebration of community, diversity, and the shared values that make Chesterfield a special place to live. Families, friends, and individuals from all walks of life are encouraged to join the parade and show their support.”

The parade route weaves throughout Chesterfield, with an escort led by the Jewish motorcycle brigade, accompanied by the Chesterfield Police and Monarch Fire Departments.
