The Resale Shop holds Couturier Mad Hatter Tea Party
Published September 30, 2015
The Resale Shop, a charitable project of National Council of Jewish Women-St. Louis Section, will hold a Mad Hatter Tea Party to celebrate the kickoff to the Couturier season. Couturier, a three-day sale of clothing and accessories from some of today’s most coveted labels, is the signature fundraising event for NCJW, benefiting the many programs and projects supporting women, children and families in our community.
The tea party will be held at MaryAnn’s Tea Room, 4732 McPherson Ave. in the Central West End (near the corner of Euclid and McPherson) at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7. Complimentary valet parking will be available. An Alice in Wonderland-themed event, the Tea Party will feature whimsical appetizers, wine and tea. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite hat (there will be prizes for selected hats).
A traveling vintage hat collection, owned by hat designer DI-Anne Isbell, will be on display at the tea party with some hats dating back as far as the 1800s. Hats by DI-Anne will also be on display and available for purchase.
Guests are asked to bring an item for Couturier to the event as part of the admission price. There are three levels of admission: $36, $51 and $120. Register online at ncjwstl.org/?p=939 or by calling the NCJW office at 314-993-5181.
During the tea party, models will show a sample of Couturier fashions — the Couturier sale will be held Thursday, Nov. 5 – Saturday, Nov. 7. Some of the brands featured at Couturier will be Theory, St. John, Eileen Fisher, BCBG, Lululemon, Cabi, Kate Spade and Cole Haan. Additional information about Couturier can be found at ncjwstl.org/?p=932.
