Nearly 50 mid-day revelers celebrated the new year eight hours early on Dec. 31 for a mid-afternoon concert and singalong at the Focal Point. “New Year’s Eve In Tel Aviv” kicked into high gear at 4 p.m. Central, or midnight in Israel.

It was the brainchild of Jewish musician Will Soll. Accompanied by his two bandmates (Joey Kenig and Andy Curry), the trio, known as Geezer House—performed a combination of original work and music by Jewish songwriters.
