Ashley Kichura, daughter of Dr. George Kichura and Michelle Kichura of Chesterfield, and Matthew Specter, son of Dr. Michael Specter and Cathy Specter of Olivette, have announced their engagement.

Ashley is the granddaughter of Glenn and Doris Fisher of Chesterfield, and the late Mary and Peter Kichura of Brooklyn, N.Y. She is the great-granddaughter of the late Fae Greenburg of Chesterfield

Matthew is the grandson of Thelma Specter and the late Paul Specter of West Palm Beach, Fla., and the late Harold Abrams and Lee Sommer of Ladue. 

The bride-to-be received a bachelor’s degree in special education from Bradley University in December 2014.  In May 2018 she will receive a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from St. Louis University. Her fiancé received a bachelor’s degree in political science from St. Louis University in May 2012 and a master’s degree in teaching from Webster University in May 2014. He will receive a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Maryville University in May 2018. He currently works as a field supervision director at Edward Jones.

A September 2018 wedding is planned.
