Jessica Faye Becker, daughter of Steven and Kathy Becker of St. Louis, and Jacob Mirowitz, son of Maxine and Steven Mirowitz of St. Louis, have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Dolores Kling and the late Marvin Kling, and the late Jeanne and Daniel Becker, all of St. Louis. Her fiancé is the grandson of Helene and the late Carl Mirowitz, the late Joan Sontag and the late Donald Sontag, all of St. Louis. 

Jessica is a 2004 graduate of Ladue Horton Watkins High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2008 and her master of arts in media and communications from Webster University in 2012. Jessica is a social media marketing manager at Nestlé Purina. Jacob is a 2006 graduate of Parkway Central High School. He earned his bachelor of arts in economics from the University of Michigan in 2010. Jacob is an acquisition specialist at Mirowitz Real Estate Investments. Jessica and Jacob met at a Young Professionals Division Jewish Federation event in 2012 and soon realized that their grandparents had been friends for more than 50 years. An August, 2015 wedding is planned.
