Andrew Ryan Sachs, son of Susie and Jonathan Sachs of St. Louis, became a bar mitzvah on Oct. 7, 2023.

Andrew is the grandson of Marilyn and the late Ken Steinback of St. Louis, and Kathy and Howard Sachs of Atlanta. He has two siblings, Rebecca Sachs, who is 21, and Jessica Sachs, who is 18.

A seventh-grade student at Ladue Middle School, Andrew loves to play golf and football. Andrew selected his mitzvah project based on his love of golf and his desire to give back to those that aren’t given the opportunity to play as much as he can. Urban Golf of Greater St. Louis allowed him to do just that. In the summer, Urban Golf hosts UGOLF at Normandie Golf Club in North County. Andrew worked twice a week at the camp helping underprivileged youth from all over the city to improve their golf skills and knowledge of the game.
