Beckett Leonard, son of Rachel and Jake Leonard, became a bar mitzvah in November 2023 at Congregation Temple Israel.
Beckett is the grandson of Linda and Ben Seltzer, and Karen and Andy Leonard, all of Kirkwood. He has two siblings, Eliot Leonard, who is 10, and Judah Leonard, who is 5.
A seventh-grade student at Nipher Middle School in Kirkwood, Beckett loves to read. He plays hockey, lacrosse and racquetball and is on his school’s robotics team. For his mitzvah project, he collected nearly 900 books for classroom libraries at Monroe Elementary School in St. Louis.
