Congregation Temple Israel welcomed Danny Cohn, president and CEO of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis, to its annual Shofar Society Appreciation Event on Nov. 2. Speaking to members gathered in the temple’s social hall, Cohn shared his personal journey and reflected on his commitment to Jewish communal life.
He also updated attendees on the Federation’s ongoing work, highlighting new security initiatives and strategic funding efforts that support programs and services across the St. Louis Jewish community. His message centered on connection and collective responsibility, themes that resonated strongly with the group.
The Shofar Society is Temple Israel’s major gift society, created to honor members who give above standard support to ensure that no one is ever denied membership for financial reasons.
