The Ladue Distinguished Alumni Awards recently took place at the Ladue Horton Watkins Performing Arts Center. The awards are presented once a decade and originated in 2002. Recipients are chosen for significant achievements in their respective fields, usually with a national or global influence. The following Jewish alums were among the 29 people honored:

• Dr. Jonathan Losos ’80 (evolutionary biology and research)
Phil Ruben is the new senior associate director of advancement at Washington University’s Division of Student Affairs department. He is responsible for the athletic department’s fundraising. A member of Congregation Temple Israel, Ruben most recently was the development manager of the St. Louis Jewish Community Center.
Andrew Fredman, a wealth management adviser and portfolio manager with Merrill Lynch in Clayton, has been named a Forbes magazine Best-in-State Wealth Adviser. A member of Congregation B’nai Amoona, he was ranked No. 12.
Former St. Louisan Alan Scher Zagier was named vice president of Cooley Public Strategies in Nashville. He will help oversee the firm’s full portfolio of clients while also leading and executing community engagement projects and driving comprehensive media and digital communications campaigns. Zagier most recently worked at Tightline Public Affairs in St. Louis.
Former Camp Sabra campers, Molly Helm (14 years) and Joshua Rudman (8 years) have assumed new positions with the camp. Helm is the assistant director of staffing. Rudman, a member of United Hebrew Congregation, is the assistant director of programming.
Victor Shade’s showroom has moved from its Overland location to Maryland Heights on Page Service Drive. Owners Scott and Rachel Segall said the new showroom is more state-of-the-art and includes additional interactive displays. They are members of Congregation Shaare Emeth.
Three pieces by abstract artist Cindy Larimore, owner of Art by C. Lari, are included in Angad Arts Hotel’s 7th bi-annual exhibition. The juried show featured Larimore’s Kaleidoscope Hearts, Life’s a Beach and Calypso Dreams. Artwork will be on display and for sale in the midtown hotel’s public spaces through April 2023.
