Linda Sue Collier passed away on April 19th, 2026, in her hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, after living with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinsonism for the past four years.
Linda leaves behind her devoted husband of 48 years, Jeffrey Collier; her “precious” child, Erin Hearsh (Brooke) Collier; her three beloved grandchildren, Scout, Bellamy, and Chance, who adored their Meme; and her brother, Mark (Phyllis) Hearsh. Dear sister-in-law of Robert (Judy) Collier. Beloved cousin, “cister,” “friend-in-law,” aunt, and friend.
Born on May 26th, 1952 to Anita and Tilford Hearsh, Linda grew up with a strong sense of independence and an instinct for caring for others. A graduate of Lake Forest College, she had a gift for organization and helped others bring order to their lives; whether that meant refreshing a closet, preparing for a move, or simply knowing exactly what was needed and where to find it. She maintained close relationships with her cousins throughout her life and valued her friendships deeply, both near and far.
Linda will be remembered for the way she showed up; for her family, her friends, and in the small, thoughtful ways that made people feel special. She had the biggest heart and moved through life with humor, resilience, and joy. Toward the end of her life, when asked if she was tired, she smiled and said, “No, I’m ready to party.”
