Joan Elise Schenberg, July 22, 2021

Beloved wife of Sanford Schenberg  for 31 wonderful years;   Mother of Julie Schenberg; Sister and Sister-in-law of Howard (Michele) Marcus and Karen (Todd) Siegel; Aunt of Lizzie, Jill, Melanie and Marc.  Dear friend to many.

Joan lived an exemplary life in spite of hearing loss from a young age.  She loved to read, socialize with friends and volunteer in her community.

Joan was a Cancer Registrar for over 32 years at the VA.   Prior to that she worked at the Missouri Botanical Gardens and as a Librarian.   She acquired life-long friendships throughout her working career.  Joan loved her family, and especially her daughter Julie.

Funeral Service Wednesday, July 28, 11:00 AM at Congregation Shaare Emeth, 11645 Ladue Rd. 63141.  Visitation at 10:30 AM.  Burial will be at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery in Chesterfield.   Memorial contributions preferred to the Jewish Federation, or a charity of your choice.  Visit bergermemorialchapel.com for more information.
