Ellen Paskar, February 13, 1949 – March 1, 2025

Ellen Paskar passed away on March 1, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Beloved wife to Dr. Larry Paskar; Devoted mother of Mark (Leah) Paskar, Jeffrey Paskar and Julie (Jason) Sachman; Sister of the late Roberta Horwitz; Adored grandmother to Jonah, Liam, Alaina, Madeline, Lavi and Mia; Aunt, cousin and friend.

Ellen was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, but proudly regarded herself as a “lifelong St. Louisan.” She met her high school sweetheart, Larry, one memorable evening at the Velvet Freeze on Olive, and they enjoyed a joyful partnership for 54 wonderful years. Ellen loved key lime pie, relished receiving flowers, and enjoyed frequent visits to the Botanical Garden and Zoo. She cherished traveling with Larry, especially on memorable cruise vacations. Above all, Ellen’s heart belonged to her family; her love for her three children and six grandchildren was evident in the countless pictures she proudly displayed throughout her home.

Ellen’s presence will be profoundly missed, but her memory will remain a cherished blessing to all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions be made to Cure Alzheimers, an organization dedicated to finding a cure for a disease that affected some of Ellen’s loved ones, or to another charity of your choice.
