Yeshivat Kadimah High School/Sharsheret
Published April 27, 2017
Yeshivat Kadimah High School students participated in the National Sharsheret Pink Day along with hundreds of other schools and colleges across our country. In an effort to encourage discussions about family health history and empowering people to take control of their health through genetic awareness, Sharsheret sponsors a Pink Day every year. Sharsheret Supports Coordinator Lynne Palan and Nishmah Director Sara Winkelman (locally, Sharsheret is a program of Nishmah at the Jewish Community Center) visited the school and spoke to the students about awareness around Ashkenazi Jews and the BrCa mutation, as well as basic facts about breast cancer and genetic awareness.
