A black-and-white photo of 17 women has already started generating conversation across Jewish St. Louis.
The image, recently used in Ladue News as part of Jewish Federation of St. Louis’ “Honoring 125 Women” initiative, features several recognizable community leaders from past decades — including Nancy Siwak, seen on the far left, who later became Federation’s first female board chair from 1997 to 1999.
But while many of the women in the photo have now been identified, seven still remain a mystery.
Now the Jewish Light is asking readers to help finish the puzzle.

That leaves seven women still unidentified: 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10 and 15.
Now we’re hoping readers can help identify the remaining women — and possibly uncover more about the story behind the photograph itself, including when it was taken, where it was taken and what brought the women together.
