To celebrate their three graduating classes, The Deutsch Early Childhood Center at Temple Israel held its graduation parade on May 14. Families decorated their cars, drove through TI’s circle, and students and their families said hello to their teachers and school staff out of the sunroof and car windows. Teachers held signs celebrating the kids and cheered for them as families stopped and waved. Director of Family Education Leslie Wolf and TI’s Senior Rabbi Amy Feder were both there to help celebrate a year of fun and learning.
Leading up to Thursday’s graduation, teachers dropped off graduation yard signs in the front yard of each DECC graduating student.
Additionally, TI Rabbis said a special blessing during the May 15th live-streamed Shabbat services and invited all students and their families, as well as the congregation, to meet online and cheer the grads in the Facebook comments section.
