B’nai B’rith St. Louis Missouri Lodge 22 will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, in Steve’s Room at the JCC. The meeting will feature Michele Shoresman, assistant dean of the Washington University School of Law, explaining the Missouri Coalition for Lifesaving Cures. Event to feature Recht
The Jewish Community Center’s Day Camps Parents’ Night will feature a concert by Rick Recht at a pool party. The party will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 13, at the May Outdoor Pool, 2 Millstone Campus Drive. Voting training offered
Congregation Shaare Emeth will host a training session on the new electronic voting machines at 1 p.m. Friday, July 21 at 11645 Ladue Road in Creve Coeur (Ladue at Ballas). Shoah film to screen
Hidden Treasures: Saved From the Holocaust, a documentary written, narrated and produced by Margaret Bilinsky, will be shown at the St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase at 4:30 p.m. July 23 at the Tivoli Theater. Hidden Treasures deals with some unusual items brought to the U.S. by five survivors and how they got them out of Germany and Poland before and after World War II. Bilinsky interviews four St. Louis survivors about their experiences and the choices they had to make. For more information call Cinema St. Louis at 314-289-4150.
Brodsky to conduct raffle
A raffle will be held in conjunction with the Brodsky Library’s Summer Reading Club. Tickets are $3 each or two for $5. The items are: American Girl Doll Molly and an accompanying book; and Mater, the radio-controlled tow truck from the movie Cars. Drawing will be held on Aug. 9. The winner need not be present or a member of the club. Money will benefit the library’s children’s section.
