Shaving Israel is sponsoring a Hanukkah Party on Sunday, Dec. 8 at the Mirowitz Center from 1 to 3 p.m.
The event will include entertainment, delicious snacks, lots of songs and fun – but most importantly, learn about what Shaving Israel does and how they do it for needy soldiers in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Cantor Shirel Richman of United Hebrew Congregation and Naomi Elbaz, Israeli shilichah, will discuss their service in the IDF. Pianist David Cohen will perform.
Shaving Israel supports members of the IDF in a meaningful, personal, hands-on fashion by donating towels, winter wear, shirts, socks, phone chargers, toiletries and other personal items. The nonprofit has collected close to $600,000, which has been used to help over 12,000 soldiers.
