Kranzberg Foundation awards 5th year of $50K in grants

The Kranzberg Family Foundation, a supporting organization of Jewish Federation, is accepting applications for its 2012 funding cycle. The foundation’s purpose is to provide funds to benefit the St. Louis Jewish community with a focus on engagement and outreach to the next generation. Grant applications are due by Monday, Oct. 17. All applicants will be notified by the end of the year.

This is the foundation’s fifth year of $50,000 in grants to 501c3 non-profit organizations and congregations that submit proposals either for innovative and experiential programs and projects or, because of the current economic crisis and the rising needs in our community, for core funding for organizations that specifically target NextGen. To date, $250,000 has been awarded since the Kranzberg Foundation was established in 2007. Minimum grant amount is $5,000. The foundation welcomes collaboration between community agencies and organizations.

The application is online at www.jewishinstlouis.org/jcf in the Jewish Federation section.  Return applications to the Kranzberg Family Foundation at 12 Millstone Campus Drive, St. Louis, Mo.  63146.  For more information, contact the Jewish Community Foundation of St. Louis at 314-442-3740.
