ElderLink St. Louis to host theater event, discussion Oct. 24

ElderLink St. Louis, a program providing coordinated resources for Jewish seniors, is hosting a theater matinee of “Another Home Invasion,” a one-woman play whose heroine refuses to allow age, dire circumstances or the system to crush her dignity or her love for her seriously ill husband. The event is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24 at Theater 134 at the Art Space at Crestwood Court Shopping Center, located through the mall’s east entrance near the old Chevy’s restaurant.

Those who attend the play, written by award-winning Canadian playwright Joan MacLeod, will receive a reduced ticket price of $12. Following the presentation, ElderLink St. Louis will provide light refreshments and host round-table discussions of the important issues facing seniors that are raised by the play.

There is no charge for ElderLink’s services, and anyone with a question on aging is encouraged to contact the organization by calling 314-812-9300, e-mailing [email protected], or visiting www.elderlinkstlouis.org.

To make reservations for the Oct. 24 theater event, call Echo Theater Company at 314-225-4329. Leave your name, telephone number and number of tickets, and mention ElderLink. A theater representative will return your call to confirm the order, which can be paid at the door the day of the performance. Tickets also can be purchased at the box office the day of the performance, and theater-goers can receive the special $12 ticket price by mentioning that they are part of the ElderLink program.
