Fauda stars show up for reserve duty

Lior Raz, Tsahi Halevi and Idan Amedi are among the series’ actors who donned the IDF uniform, bringing the scripts of the popular show to life.

A host of stars of the popular Israeli TV show Fauda are among hundreds of thousands of Israelis called up for reserve duty over the past 10 days.

Israel declared war on October 7 after more than 1,500 Hamas gunmen infiltrated Israel from the Gaza Strip, indiscriminately attacking civilian communities in a violent rampage that killed over 1,300 people and injured thousands.

Among the actors who showed up for reserve duty were Tzachi Halevi, Idan Amedi, Tomer Capone, and Yaakov Zada Daniel.

In addition, the show’s co-creators Lior Raz, Avi Issacharoff and Yohanan Plesner all joined thousands of soldiers as volunteers for “Brothers in Arms,” an alliance of reservists who oppose the government’s judicial reform plan.
