Kara Sussman and Orr Hadass have announced their engagement. 

Kara is the daughter of Vicki and Fred Sussman of St. Louis. She is the granddaughter of Mickey and Judy Ferdman and Carl Sussman and the late Shirley Sussman, all of St. Louis. 

Orr is the son of Marom Hadass of Hod Hasharon, Israel and Monica Hadass of Denver. He is the grandson of Joseph Hadass and the late Stella Hadass, and Shoshana and Oded Dahan, all of Jerusalem.

The bride-to-be attended the University of Missouri – Columbia, where she studied Family and Consumer Science Education. After graduation she followed her dream to become a certified chef. Now she works at Parkway North High School, teaching Family and Consumer Sciences.

Her fiancé studied Biomedical Engineering at Saint Louis University. He went on to complete his master’s in Pathology and Neuroscience at the University of Missouri – Columbia. He currently works for MagBiosense, a medical device startup in St. Louis.

Orr and Kara grew up in St. Louis and both attended Parkway Central, but as Kara noted, “it wasn’t without the help of JDate that we met!” Orr proposed to Kara on Feb. 12 at the Chase Park Plaza.

An April 23, 2017 wedding date has been planned.
