Benrey-Geigerman Engagement

Jennifer Benrey, daughter of Jose and Oleva Benrey of Miami Beach, Fla., and Daniel Geigerman, son of Michael and Paula Geigerman of Creve Coeur, have announced their engagement. 

Jennifer is the granddaughter of Elisa Benrey and the late Salomón Benrey, who was born in Cuba and immigrated to Miami; the late Jeanne Goldring, who was born in Hungary and immigrated to Miami; and the late Andre Roth and the late Margaret Roth, both immigrants from Hungary to Miami. 

Daniel is the grandson of the late Dr. David Geigerman and the late Kathryn Geigerman, and the late Philip Mostovoy and the late Dorothy Mostovoy.

The bride-to-be earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree in choral music at Florida State University. She is a third-year cantorial student at the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music at Hebrew Union College in New York, and she is student cantor at Temple Beth-El in Jersey City, N.J.

Her fiancé earned a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance at Webster University in St. Louis. He is a third-year cantorial student at the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music at Hebrew Union College in New York and is student cantor at Congregation Beth Yam Synagogue of Hilton Head, S.C.

Daniel and Jennifer met in Jerusalem during their first year of cantorial studies. They became engaged over Thanksgiving this year.
