A packed house at The Grandel Theatre enjoyed music, latkes and a celebration of the Festival of Lights on Saturday, Dec. 13 for the 15th Annual Brothers Lazaroff Hanukkah Hullabaloo. Proceeds from the event will go to the community organization Action St. Louis for tornado relief and recovery.
Many in the audience were hullabaloo regulars, like Heidi Lebish. “I go every year and this is the best band,” said Lebish, a blues afficionado.
Dan Reich watched the 2024 show on YouTube, but this was his first in-person. “It’s great,” Reich said. “I think they’re really talented. I decided to go and find out what it was all about.”
Vickie Lander has been to about a half dozen Hanukkah Hullabaloos in previous years.

“The music is great,” Lander said. “It gets better and better all the time. I used to babysit the Lazaroff brothers, and now Jeff Lazaroff’s wife Julie, one of the latke ladies, is my co-chair at the CRC (Central Reform Congregation) garden.”
