(JTA) — A movie version of “Jewtopia” has been cast.

“Ghost Whisperer” star Jennifer Love Hewitt and “Crossing Jordan” star Ivan Sergei will star in the movie, an adaptation of the hit play and bestselling book by the same name, Variety reported.

The play is the longest-running Off-Broadway comedy in history, with over 1200 performances.

Sergei will play Christian O’Connell, a gentile plumber who wants a Jewish girlfriend to make all his decisions for him, He poses as a Jewish doctor, with the help of his Jewish childhood friend Adam.  

Hewitt will play Alison Marks, who meets Christian at a singles mixer at a synagogue.
