The Jewish Federation of St. Louis has gone digital in a whole new way. This week, the organization launched its new website, jfedstl.org, giving its online home a complete refresh that better reflects its modern mission and growing community reach. The new website was designed to make it easier for users to connect, donate and find their place in Jewish life, whether that’s discovering local events, learning about impact initiatives, or supporting Federation’s work at home and abroad.
A local redesign with a purpose
“Our previous website no longer reflected the dynamic work and reach of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis,” said Amanda Miller, the Federation’s vice president of communications. “We wanted a site that better tells our story, supports fundraising and helps people connect to Jewish life in meaningful ways.”

To bring that vision to life, the Federation partnered with Brevity, a St. Louis-based digital agency, to reimagine the site from the ground up. The result is cleaner, faster and much easier to navigate especially on mobile devices. Visitors can explore events, community partners, or donation opportunities with just a few clicks.
Built for connection
Accessibility was central to the redesign. The site now meets current Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), which set international standards to make digital content more usable and inclusive for people of all abilities. It also strengthens security for online giving. The new platform uses encrypted donation systems and includes upgraded tools like a Grant Management Portal for community partners and a Donor Advised Fund portal launching soon.

“We learned in our community study that we must eliminate barriers to participation. Our new website reflects who we are as a community and helps people drive their own journey. We are connected, caring and committed to one another,” said Danny Cohn, president and CEO of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis. “The Kehilla Calendar is a great example — by creating one central place where people can see everything happening across Jewish St. Louis, we’re making it easier for everyone to participate, engage and feel part of something bigger.”
“The new website is just the beginning,” said David Stetter, the Federation’s marketing director. “It gives us a platform to share stories, connect with our community and bring our impact to life online.”
Together as One, online and off
The Federation’s “Together as One” message is woven through the new site’s imagery and storytelling as well. A standout feature, the Kehilla Calendar, now lets users filter events by organizer, making it easier to find everything from lectures to Shabbat dinners.
For Federation leaders, the site is more than a redesign, it’s a digital front door to Jewish St. Louis.
