Millet Ben Haim, 27, is a Nova music festival survivor. For the past two months, she has been touring the U.S, speaking at synagogues, Hillel Houses and appearing on news programs to share her experience with anyone who will listen. Her story is one of survival and escape as well as the helplessness and fear she experienced as she and her friends fled the Hamas ambush Oct. 7 at the music festival they were attending.
Now she’s bringing her story to St. Louis.
Ben Haim will visit the Hillel at Washington University (WashU Hillel) on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. in Umrath Lounge on the Danforth main campus.
Through her firsthand account, personal recordings and photos, Ben Haim will share her harrowing story. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask Ben Haim questions about her experiences, her emotional and physical recovery and her commitment to fighting the global rise in antisemitism post-Oct. 7.
A dessert reception will follow. This program is underwritten by WashU Hillel’s Harry and Mary Neuman Endowment Fund.
To register for the event, visit www.washuhillel.org/nova. Free parking for the event is available in the Danforth University Center (DUC) Garage on Wallace (northbound at the intersection of Wallace and Forsyth Blvd.).
