William Morrow (Billy) Becker, lifelong resident of St. Louis, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on July 13, 2025. He was 80 years old.
He was the proud father of Joe (Jen Becker), Jenny (Bob Whay), and Vicki. Glowing grandfather to the absolute love and lights of his life, his six grandchildren: Daryl, Dylan, Henry, Levi, Gabe, and Noah. Beloved brother to Gloria Marchick (Richard), and Bobby Becker (Shirley). True to Billy’s devotion to family, he and his ex-wife, Kathy Becker, recently enjoyed a rekindling of their love.
Billy was born in St. Louis on June 14, 1945 to his loving parents, Charles (Charlie) and Harriet Becker. He was a third-generation merchant of the wallpaper and paint store that his grandfather started in 1904, called Joseph Becker Wallpaper and Paint Company. He sold the family business after 55 years of hard work and enjoyed years of retirement doing that which made him feel like he was the wealthiest man in the world: spending time with his family.
He was a friend, mentor and confidant to his many nieces, nephews and members in the community. He will be remembered for his selflessness, sharp wit and always finding the humor in everything. But no doubt, the thing he will be remembered for the most by all is his immeasurable love for his family.
May his memory be a blessing and may the world feel a little bit brighter because of the love he brought into it.
