Stuart Hollander

Stuart Hollander, died November 11, 2013 at home with his wife of 46 years Sharon McDonald Hollander, and their two sons, Stuart Stevens Hollander and Jason Eliott Hollander at his bedside, following a five-year battle with cancer, where he fought bravely with his customary grace and good humor. He was born in St. Louis, Mo. May 26, 1929. The son of Herman S. and Bertha R. Hollander, he is survived by his brothers, Stanley N. (Joan) Hollander and Barry M. Hollander, his aunt Hilda Shulkin, his niece, nephews, cousins, in-laws and his many friends. As well as being a loving husband and father, he was a man of many accomplishments. He was a graduate of Washington University Olin Business School, an U.S. Air Force pilot during the Korean War, a business leader and entrepreneur, a pioneer of incentive travel, an artist in welded steel sculpture, an accomplished skier, tennis player, sailor, race car driver, world traveler, and dark chocolate sommelier. He will be greatly missed by all. His wish was that his life be celebrated by his treasured family and friends. Friday, November 15, 12:00 PM at New Mt. Sinai Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 8430 Gravois Road. Service at 1:00 PM in the chapel with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to Washington University, John Burroughs School, Community School or The St. Louis Art Museum. Rindskopf-Roth
