Sanford Steven Rosenfeld, born at Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, on August 5, 1946, was a dedicated son, brother, cousin, and friend to all who love and miss him dearly. He passed away on August 12, 2025 and was laid to rest at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery on August 13, 2025.
His parents, Max and Sarah (Hoffman) Rosenfeld created a wonderful home and life for their sons, Sanford and Bruce. In turn, the sons adored their parents and took great care of them. Sanford and Bruce were the best of friends, with big brother always looking out for his little brother, and they were inseparable throughout their lives. One of the few times that they were apart was when Sanford entered the Army to serve his county. That dedication to service and country continued after Sanford was discharged, with him making a career of his work at the Department of the Air Force.
He enjoyed spending time with his large extended family which includes so many cousins with whom he was very close – Rita Beckerman, the late Marvin Beckerman (Muriel), Carole Mann (Zachary), Pamela Baron (Art Mahoney), Jay Hodin, Terri Shank (Stephen Harper), Gary Shank (Diane), Gayle Shank (Charles Gottlieb), the late Sherry Lato (Marc), the late Norman Rubin, the late Carl Gillerman, and the late Dennis Gillerman.
No one will miss Sanford more than his brother, Bruce.
The family asks that any contributions in Sanford’s honor be made to Evelyn’s House, 1000 N. Mason Rd., Creve Coeur, MO 63141.
