Phyllis Kidder, 85, a devoted and loving wife, mother, and passionate animal lover, passed away on July 14, 2025. Born on August 1, 1939 in Houston, TX, Phyllis’s nurturing character extended to her family and her very loved dogs. Phyllis’s children have warm and cherished memories of a household filled with laughter, an assortment of various pets, and a deep respect of the individuality of her children.
Along with being an animal lover, Phyllis was an avid reader, seamstress, room parent, den mother, Brownie Troop leader and shrewd card player.
In later years, Phyllis enjoyed volunteering with the Humane Society of Missouri and the St. Louis Zoo.
Phyllis was predeceased by Barry, her husband of 60 years, and by her son, Brian. She is survived by her children, Louis (Andrea), Melanie (Bob), grandchildren, Courtney (Julian), Sam (Sylvia), Brittany, Rebecca, Ben, Hannah, and David, along with her great-grandchildren, Luna, Avalon, Juniper, and Perrin.

Funeral service Wednesday July 16th, 10:00 AM at Central Reform Congregation, 5020 Waterman at Kingshighway. No visitation prior to service. Interment United Hebrew Cemetery.
