Beloved son of the late Irwin B. “Hefty” Hoffman and the late Suzanne Sobel Hoffman; dear brother and brother-in-law of Lise Marie Reardon (Robert) of Niantic, Connecticut and Nancy Jane Stolberg (William) of St. Louis; uncle of Colleen Brooke Shay (Kevin), Kelly Elizabeth Reardon ( Craig), Laura Marie Greenblatt ( Mitchell) and granduncle of Robby and Annie Shay.

Larry was an extraordinarily intelligent graduate of Horton Watkins High School, attending Carnegie Mellon University on a full scholarship, then returning to St Louis where he was employed at Gale Sobel Company before spending his life pursuing his many personal research projects. Struggling with mental illness, he nonetheless sought ways to try to make the world a better place. He will now rest in peace.

The kind care provided to Larry in his later years by the dedicated staff at Geitner Assisted Living Center has been greatly appreciated.
