Judith K. “Judy” Sipkin, December 25, 1943 – April 28, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Judith K. Sipkin (née Schukar), known to all as Judy, on April 28, 2025, at the age of 81.

Judy was the beloved wife of Gary Sipkin for 56 years, a marriage filled with love, laughter, and shared memories. She was the devoted mother of Allyson Hodgkins (Steve) and Melanie Waters (Brent), and cherished grandmother of Lindsay Hodgkins (Jared Pratt), Haylie Hodgkins, and Dylan Waters.

Judy was the dear sister and sister-in-law of Marla Levinson (Bruce), the late Stephen Schukar (Therese), Denny Sipkin (Margie), and the late Vicki Plengemeier (and the late Dave). She was also the daughter of the late Alex and Elsie Schukar.

Aunt, cousin, and friend to many, Judy’s warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. She was known for her genuine compassion, her unwavering support of her family, her ability to bring joy and comfort to others and her love for shopping.   Her presence will be missed, but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Judy’s legacy is one of love, strength, and the importance of family. As we say goodbye to a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, we are reminded of her many acts of kindness and the indelible mark she left on the world.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Adult Day at the J and DASA Sports in her memory.

Funeral Service Thursday May 1, 11 AM at Congregation Temple Israel, 1 Rabbi Alvin D. Rubin Dr. St. Louis, MO. 63141 (Also Available by Livestream). Visitation from 10 – 11 AM at the temple.  Interment following at United Hebrew Cemetery, 7855 Canton Ave. 63130.
