Joan (Joni) Koven, age 82, passed away on December 15, 2023, in Chesterfield, MO.
Formerly of Minneapolis, she was a proud member of Kolot, a Jewish women’s chorus in which she sang for six years. She also enjoyed socializing and exercising regularly at the Maryland Heights YMCA. The most important things in her life were her children and grandchildren. She brought so much joy to her family and friends. Her positive attitude carried her through until the end. She was a true lady. Predeceased by parents, Gertrude and Nathan Ravitz; husband of 43 years, Paul; and her forever fiancé, Floyd French. Survived by brother, Darrell (Sue) Ravitz; she is the loving mother of Stacy Graaff, Melissa Koven, and Heather (Thatcher) Bell; loving grandmother of Alexandria Graaff (William Sodd), Aidan Graaff (Emma), and Grace Bell. She is also survived by her special friend, Don Costales.
The family gives special thanks to Sheila Burtchett, her full-time aid from Bright Star. They shared many laughs together, for which we are grateful.
