Janice (Janie) Levenson Spielberg Stein, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025 at the age of 77.
Born on February 12, 1948 in Miami, Florida and raised in Glassport, Pennsylvania. She grew up with a spirit of kindness, strength, and generosity that she carried with her throughout her life. She was the daughter of the late Maurice D. Levenson and Hazel Martha (Herron) Levenson of Tarzana, California. She later built a beautiful life with her family in St. Louis, Missouri, and then retired in Surprise, Arizona.
Beloved wife and best friend for 33 years to late husband, Marshall C. Stein.
She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie (Stephen) Tate and Stacey (Scott) Massa, her grandchildren, Ryan (Hannah) Massa, Katelyn Massa, Megan Massa and Jacob Tate.

Loving sister of the late Mark Levenson, the late Leslie (Dedra Kaplan) Levenson of Gilbert, Arizona, Terri Herron Levenson of Scottsdale, Arizona and Lee Levenson of Henderson, Nevada.
Loving cousin of Linda De Meulenaere (Marty Boucher) and the late Dr. Jerry Alan Olshan, both of Phoenix.
Loving aunt, cousin and friend to many who adored her.
More than anything, Janice’s devoted her life to her family. She was not only a loving mother, but also a best friend, confidant, and guide. She had a gift for listening, for offering wisdom, and for making everyone feel seen and loved. To her children, she was the person they could always count on — a source of strength, encouragement, and unconditional love.
Those who knew her will remember her for her warmth, her laughter, and her unwavering devotion to the people she loved. She touched countless lives with her generosity and her ability to make others feel cared for and understood.
A service to honor her life will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 2:30pm at Paradise Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her memory.
