James Lee “JJ” Watel Jr. passed away peacefully on January 15, 2024.
Son of the late Esther and Jim Watel, brother of Lucie Watel, Jenny Watel, and Abby Watel Nellans.
JJ had struggled with mental health issues for many years and is fondly remembered for his wicked sense of humor and his passion for music and sports.
A small private gathering of family and friends will be held at the Seven Gables in Clayton from 2 to 4 on Sunday, Jan. 28.
