Edwin B. Katz, 90, died peacefully April 21, 2017, surrounded with family. Beloved husband of the late Mary Katz, father of Neil Katz (Sandra), Misha Pelligreen (Lee) and the late Mark Katz. Ex-father in law of Francisco Benavides. Beloved grandfather of Victoria Katz, Katherine Katz, Sophia Pelligreen, Alejandro Benavides, Antonio Benavides (Raquel), Christian Benavides (Kelly), Gabriel Benavides (Jaime), Francesco Benavides (Bojana). Brother of the late Alice Benkoff, Sylvia Cohen, and Martin Katz. Brother of Betty Rothman, Ellie Sachs and Ronald Katz. Beloved great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Edwin was a kind man and full of humor, he loved to tell jokes but also recite the lines of Shakespeare. He was a Veteran. Ed loved his wife Mary for 50 years until her death in 2007. He lived for his family and loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly. No visitation prior to burial at 1pm, Friday, April 28, 2017 at Bellerive Cemetery on Mason Road, St. Louis.
