Beloved wife of Arnold Lehrman for 62 years. Devoted mother of Debbie (Jerry) Alexander, Gary (Sally) Lehrman, Joan (Robert) Denison, and Robyn (Scott) Meyer. Cherished grandmother of Stephanie (Aaron Sherman) Alexander, Missy (Mike) Sgarbossa, Rachel Denison, Zach Denison, Brandon Lehrman, Spencer Lehrman, Brooke (Jared) Frisby, Ben Meyer (fiancé Rachel Troutman), and Adam Meyer. Loving great-grandmother of Eli Sherman, Kylie and Maddie Sgarbossa. Dear sister of the late Arlene (late Barney) Landers and the late Harriet (late Alec) Dardick; sister-in-Law of Gloria (late Bob) Hoffman. Loving aunt, great-aunt, and friend to many.
Betty’s devotion to family and friends was central to her life. Working with her husband, Arnold, they created the retail specialty clothing store chains, The Children’s Fair, and The Fashion Fair. Betty was playful and creative with her children and grandchildren, she enjoyed attending their performances, sporting activities and was inquisitive and interested in their various pursuits. She enjoyed preparing for the Jewish holidays, creating rich traditions for her extended family. Betty was an accomplished artist, and a life-long friend to many who shared her love of family and MahJongg. For many years after retirement, Betty volunteered at United Hebrew Congregation working with Arnold to produce the temple variety shows and help with the senior lunch programs.
Funeral service, Wednesday, January 17th, 11:00 AM at United Hebrew Congregation, 13788 Conway Road. Visitation with the family beginning at 10:30 AM Wednesday until time of service. Interment Private.
