Marlowe Hanis became a three-time Taekwondo World Champion in a recent ATA Martial Arts competition in Phoenix, Ariz.
She competed in the Special Abilities Black Belt-Physical division; combat sparring and forms for ages 18-29 years old. For the past 15 years Hanis has worked incredibly hard with her mild cerebral palsy.
She will compete again in the weapons category this November in St. Louis.
Hanis is also a second-degree black belt and a member of Congregation Shaare Emeth. As a special education teacher, she teaches essential skills to students in kindergarten through fifth grade through the Special School District.
