JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israeli troops came under fire on the border with Egypt, according to reports.

The small arms fire reportedly came from the Egyptian side of the border. The Israeli soldiers returned fire, according to reports.

More Israeli troops have been dispatched to the area, Israeli media reported.

The IDF said it is reviewing reports from the scene.
