JERUSALEM (JTA) — Code Red rocket alerts sounded in Israeli communities near the border with Gaza.

The Israeli military reportedly indicated the sirens on Sunday morning were a false alarm, and may have occurred as a result of rocket tests inside of Gaza.

The last time alarm sirens were sounded in the Gaza area was in mid-September; they also reportedly were false alarms.
