(JTA) — Belgian police no longer suspect a man whom they detained in connection with the deadly shooting at Brussels’ Jewish museum and have no other suspects in custody, a Belgian news site reported.

The man, who was detained shortly after Saturday’s shooting in which three people died, is now regarded by police as a witness and not a suspect, reported the news site HLN.be, which is the online edition of the Het Laatste Nieuws daily.

Belgian authorities have released neither the names of the three people who died in the museum — two women and a man — nor the name of a fourth person who sustained critical injuries in the attack.

The shooter aimed for the victims throats and heads and fired the shots without uttering a word, witnesses told the daily.

Authorities are looking for the shooter, who was driven to the museum by a suspected accomplice in an Audi car, and the driver. They are analysing security camera footage from the scene of the crime in central Brussels and adjacent streets, HLN.be reported.
