PA convoy car collides with Israeli car on West Bank road

JERUSALEM (JTA) — An Israeli man was seriously injured in a head-on collision with a car from the Palestinian Authority prime minister’s convoy at a West Bank junction.

The accident on Saturday afternoon came after the car from the convoy of PA Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, which was returning to Ramallah, crossed into the lane of oncoming traffic while trying to pass other cars. It slammed head on into a car carrying an Israeli couple and their four children, according to Ynet. The family was taken to Hadassah-Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem.

The accident occurred at the Tekoa Junction in the Gush Etzion bloc in the West Bank.

Three Palestinian security guards also were injured in the accident and were taken to a Hebron hospital.
