Brennan talks recent terror attacks with Israelis

WASHINGTON (JTA) — John Brennan, the Obama administration’s top counterterrorism official, met with his Israeli counterparts in Israel to discuss recent attacks on Israeli targets.
In a release, the White House said that Brennan visited Israel on Wednesday “to consult with senior Israeli officials about a range of shared security concerns, including the recent wave of terrorist plots against Israeli and other interests.”
A suicide attacker killed six people on an Israeli tour bus in Bulgaria last week.
The Obama administration has been under attack by Republicans and conservatives in recent weeks for keeping Israel out of parleys on terrorism at the request of NATO ally Turkey.
Brennan also met with Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad.
