Bezalel brings art works to U.S.

JERUSALEM — An exhibition of contemporary art works by recent graduates of Israel’s Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design has opened in Baltimore.
The exhibition, Bezalel on Tour, which will be on display at the Maryland Institute College of Art through mid-March, will travel throughout North America over the next year. It features the work of 30 students who have graduated in the last five years and features works from the departments of Fine Arts, Architecture, Photography, Ceramic and Glass Design, Industrial Design, Jewelry and Fashion, Visual Communication and Screen-Based Arts.
The exhibition is in honor of the 106th anniversary of Bezalel, Israel‘s oldest institute of higher education and a leading international academy of art, design and architecture.
The exhibition will also visit Sotheby’s Chicago the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as from academies and museums in New York and Toronto, among others.
