Traditional Congregation

Traditional Congregation welcomed volunteers to the assembly day of its annual Florence Gaponoff Mother’s Day Mitzvah Project.  For the past 24 years, the project has collected toiletries and other personal care items, assembled them in gift bags and distributed them to women’s shelters so that the women there receive a gift for Mother’s Day.  Chairperson Barbara Gaponoff Berson indicated that this year, with the help of B’nai Amoona Sisterhood, the group provided 350 bags to about a dozen shelters in the area.  Items are collected all year round — donated items can be brought to Traditional Congregation, 12437 Ladue Road in Creve Coeur.
